We'll now call this the "About Me" and "About You" page. ON2DVD® is a sole trader business and I do hope that I have not scared you away already, please hang around for a moment if you will. My name is Mark Shueard and I act independantly and whitout persuation to service "you". I've been around a while! I started ON2DVD® back in 2001 after finally finding what I loved to do. This was around the time that independants (ie not corporations with huge budgets) were first able to produce their own DVD Videos. For me, it was exciting, I had recently fathered my first child (Rhianna, now 10 - ah, how they grow) and purchased my first real video camera to capture the wonderful moments that were to bestowed upon me. Digital video (DV) had been around for some time but the problem was to watch it on a VCR player just never did it any justice. DVD Video was what I wanted to use as my mastering format and it was finally affordable. So I originally started ON2DVD® as an authoring service when I realised how much I loved it. Time has passed and now it is much harder to still be offering just this service, as you know, video to DVD is easy enough for anybody to do now if they wish to. While keeping my original focus on taking video to disc, somehow, I ended up becoming a reseller of the products that are an integral part of the whole process. Then it wasn't long before I caught up with the wondefull people at Region 4 and it seemed a perfect addition to my product range- CD, DVD (and now Blu-ray) duplication products and solutions were added to my arsenal.

That's where we are today and in the past 8 years I've built some strong relationships with key distributors of the brands you see on the ON2DVD® website. More about that in a moment, now let's talk about "you" and what I can do for you.

If you have come to this website looking for a particular product that relates to video editing, post production, authoring or duplication, chances are it's here, you can do a search from the top of the page or brose categories from the menu. You will notice the categories all start from either one of these CAPTURE-EDIT-AUTHOR-BURN because that is still the focus, it's getting your video published onto disc whether it's CD, DVD or Blu-ray Disc.

If by chace you have come here seeking a service then ON2DVD® still provides various DVD Video and Blu-ray services. VHS to DVD, encoding and disc duplication. In fact we've just recently added our poular Quickdiscs online service to this website. 1. Knowlegable pre-sales advise? Yes, I have extensive knowlege of many products and those which I don't have experience with I can find out more about. That is becasue all products sold through ON2DVD® come from respected distributors who I have a close relationship with. I can ask questions for you, I can get the answers you need to know, I can give you unbiased advice on which products suit you the best.
2. After sales service? It is my pleasure to meet and greet a new customer, providing him/her with the best solution but it doesn't stop there. I often get questions about how to use the products, I am more than happy to assist wherever I can. This is often overlooked when deciding who to buy from. So many online shops sell you something that they have no understanding about and when help is needed, they tell you to contact the manufacturer. I may not have all the answers but I will endeavor to find out the answers for you.
3. Warranty? Of course you get a warranty, even if I went bankrupt (which i have no plans on doing) the warranties are valid and honoured in Australia by respected distributors. Your ON2DVD® Tax Invoice is your friend here.
4. Best price in Australia?.. Whoah, hang on a moment. ON2DVD® has been around long enough to know that there are some resellers mostly online that will sell a product at very small margin. Usually they have thousands of products, no experience, provide no help and generally have no idea about the product they are selling you. They make their money by selling lots of SKU's at small margin and it may be okay for them. ON2DVD® is different, the prices are competitive, I will match prices (if asked) when it is still reasonable but I will not degrade the value of a brand or my service by undercuting every product I can get my hands on. To provide the service to you that I want to provide I can not afford to be the cheapest place online to buy from. Thank you for your understanding.
5. Phone support? I wouldn't have it any other way.
